KTM 390 Adventure

The motorcycle is powered by a high-output 373.2cc liquid-cooled, 4-valve DOHC engine delivering 43.5 PS at 9,000 rpm and 37 Nm of peak torque at 7,000 rpm. Managed by a ride-by-wire throttle and assisted by an anti-hopping slipper clutch with a standard bi-directional Quickshifter+, the 390 Adventure cruises effortlessly at 110 to 120 km/h with plenty of reserve overtaking power. While the powerband favors mid-to-high revs rather than low-end crawler torque, deliberate throttle input pulls the motorcycle cleanly through loose gravel and mountain climbs.

Suspension hardware is tailored for dual-purpose endurance, featuring 43mm WP APEX inverted front forks offering 170mm of wheel travel and a rear monoshock delivering 177mm of travel with adjustable rebound and preload. With 200mm of ground clearance and a robust engine skid plate, large rocks, ruts, and washed-out trails are crossed without undercarriage scrape. The 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheel combination shod with dual-purpose tubeless tyres provides confident directional stability across tarmac, gravel, and packed dirt.

The technology suite sets the gold standard for sub-500cc adventure motorcycles in India. A 5-inch bonded glass color TFT screen displays comprehensive navigation and telemetry, linking seamlessly to the KTMconnect smartphone app. Electronic rider aids include lean-sensitive Cornering Motorcycle Traction Control (MTC) and switchable Off-Road ABS, which deactivates rear-wheel intervention while softening front-wheel slip thresholds. With a 14.5-litre fuel tank, the motorcycle delivers a dependable touring range of 380 to 420 km at real-world highway figures of 27 to 30 km/l.
