Hero MotoCorp has officially unveiled the all-new Xpulse 210. Addressing the longstanding demand of Indian dual-sport riders, the 210 brings a 24.6 PS liquid-cooled 4-valve DOHC engine, 6-speed transmission with slipper clutch, 220mm ground clearance, and full Rally ABS modes.
Since its launch in 2019, the Hero Xpulse 200 carved out a legendary cult following across India as the quintessential budget mountain-goat. However, on open national highways, its air-oil cooled 19 PS motor ran out of steam, struggling to cruise comfortably past 90 km/h.
Hero MotoCorp has answered the community's prayers with the global unveiling of the Xpulse 210 at EICMA. Combining an authentic lightweight rally-spec chassis with modern high-revving liquid cooling, the 210 transforms the Xpulse into a bona fide highway tourer.
At the heart of the Xpulse 210 sits a 210cc 4-valve single-cylinder liquid-cooled DOHC motor, derived and re-tuned from the Karizma XMR platform. Generating 24.6 PS at 9,250 RPM and 20.7 Nm torque at 7,250 RPM, power jumps by a staggering 28% over the outgoing Xpulse 200 4V.
Crucially, the motor pairs with a 6-speed gearbox equipped with an assist-and-slipper clutch. The extra sixth cog allows relaxed 100-110 km/h highway cruising with reduced engine stress and lower vibration levels.
True to its Dakar heritage, the Xpulse 210 rides on full-sized 21-inch front and 18-inch rear spoked wheels. Front suspension duties are handled by beefy 41mm telescopic forks with 210 mm travel, paired with a rear linkage-type monoshock offering 205 mm travel.
With 220 mm of unladen ground clearance, water crossings, slush, and boulder fields are dispatched effortlessly. Braking is upgraded to petal discs at both ends backed by a sophisticated dual-channel ABS system featuring Road, Off-Road, and Rally modes (allowing complete rear-wheel lockup for dirt track steering).
The rider interface is elevated via a brand-new 4.2-inch colour TFT display featuring Bluetooth smartphone connectivity, incoming call alerts, music playback control, and turn-by-turn navigation.
The Hero Xpulse 210 is slated for Indian showroom deliveries shortly, with introductory ex-showroom prices expected between ₹1.65 lakh and ₹1.78 lakh. At this price point, it undercuts rival middleweight ADVs by over a lakh while offering unrivaled trail agility.
